Our pupils move on to an impressive variety of day and boarding schools, both locally and further afield. Recent destinations include Guildford High School, Churcher's College, The Royal Grammar School Guildford (RGS), St Catherine's, Seaford College, Prior's Field, Cranleigh School, Tormead, Aldro, Queenswood, Roedean and Sherborne, among others.

Senior School destinations

We are particularly proud of our partnership with Guildford High School, which offers a direct transition pathway for eligible St Ives pupils who meet the required criteria. This exciting opportunity provides families with an additional route into one of the country's leading independent schools.

Preparation for senior school begins long before the application process. Through outstanding teaching, personalised guidance and a rich programme of leadership, enrichment and co-curricular opportunities, we help every pupil develop the confidence, resilience and academic foundations needed to thrive at the next stage of their education.

Our close relationships with a wide range of senior schools ensure families receive expert advice throughout the decision-making process. As a fully co-educational school, we continue to strengthen partnerships with leading co-educational, girls' and boys' schools, ensuring the very best opportunities are available to all our pupils.

Senior school scholarships are regularly awarded to St Ives pupils, and we are consistently delighted by the feedback we receive from senior school heads regarding the confidence, character, academic readiness and enthusiasm of our children.

In recent years, 100% of our Year 6 pupils have secured places at their first-choice senior school, a reflection of both their hard work and the exceptional preparation they receive at St Ives.

St Ives girls are always a presence in our entrance cohort at 11+. They are very well prepared for this academically selective environment, bring warmth and a strong sense of personal responsibility to their new school, and contribute hugely to our wide extra-curricular programme. They go on to hold positions of authority in the School and proceed to some of the top universities in the country. We are proud of our long association with St Ives.
